The Financial Scribe was established in 2005 by Leonard Pritchard, Managing Partner, and has since worked with numerous young companies in many different industries including ecommerce, online video content providers, health care service companies, real estate developers, restaurants, retail stores, community websites, manufacturers, food and beverage companies, marketing companies and a reality TV program. The Financial Scribe provides personalized service by working directly with the owners of the business to help develop and communicate their ideas and plans for building their company. We work with our clients to ensure their business plans, financial forecasts and investment or loan proposals are professionally prepared.
Leonard has 30 years experience in the corporate finance industry including investment banking, venture capital, commercial and private banking. Leonard began his career on Wall Street with the National Westminster Bank, at the time one of world’s largest financial institutions. Upon completing the Bank’s executive management training program, he was assigned to the international division and was responsible for corporate clients in Latin America before being transferred to Hong Kong, where he spent 13 years working with US multinationals, Central Banks and financial institutions. During his career, Leonard has also worked with Shearson Lehman Bank (Switzerland), Smith Barney (Hong Kong) and State Street Boston Corporation.
Leonard spent 8 years working with a Seattle investment bank to raise equity capital for start ups and early stage companies, co-founded Avogadro Partners, a venture development company that commercializes nano and micro technologies, and co-founded an Internet marketing company. He is presently an advisor to Avogadro Partners, a director of the Willows Lodge Hotel, a consultant to Capital Access, LLC, a Seattle investment bank which finances alternative/renewable energy projects worldwide and Senior Business Advisor to TLC Capital Solutions, a financial services firm that raises capital for green real estate developers.
Since 2005, Leonard has been consulting with start ups and early stage companies to help them prepare to raise equity capital or bank financing. Leonard is a graduate of the Boston University School of Management, attended executive management programs at the Colgate Darden School of Management at the University of Virginia and studied English literature and fine arts at the University of Bath, in England.
